We are hiring creative & collaborative teachers and coordinators who inspire constructivist and project-based learning in Reggio Emilia/Waldorf inspired classroom communities. Innovators and entrepreneurs will grow with us. Staff & Faculty well-being is one of our priorities. TKG is currently hiring for the following positions for the 2017-2018 school year:

Part time Teacher with STEM Focus for students aged 10-12AlbertEinstein

This Part-time teacher is a creative educator responsible for preparing constructivist and whole-child lesson plans. This educator is passionate about Math and Science and can encourage students and families to think and explore as Mathematicians and Scientists. This teacher is extremely comfortable with Common Core Standards in both Math and Science and is an innovator who combines best practices and protocols of constructivist and project-based learning (PBL).

This person is a creative educational professional who is competent at creating ambitious lesson plans in partnership with the students and can formally and informally assess students’ comprehension based on the TKG math and Science curriculum as well as the individual student’s developmental capacity within their Zone of Proximal development.

The teacher also monitors and documents students’ learning experiences in order to support the class, the students and the families. Our STEM teacher collaborates with the Humanities teacher and participates in faculty meetings and professional development directed by the Head of Education.

Part time Teacher with HUMANITIES Focus for students aged 10-12

This Part-time teacher is a creative educator responsible for preparing constructivist and whole-child lesson plans. This educator is passionate about the Humanities, specifically Reading, Writing and Social Studies and can encourage students and families to think and explore as Readers, Writers and philosophers. This teacher is extremely comfortable with Common Core Standards in both Reading and Writing and is an innovator who combines best practices and protocols of constructivist and project-based learning (PBL).

This person is a creative educational professional who is competent at creating ambitious lesson plans in partnership with the students and can formally and informally assess students’ comprehension based on the TKG reading and writing curriculum as well as the individual student’s developmental capacity within their Zone of Proximal development.

The teacher also monitors and documents students’ learning experiences in order to support the class, the students and the families. Our Humanities teacher collaborates with the STEM teacher and participates in faculty meetings and professional development directed by the Head of Education.

Substitute Teachers (all ages)

We are looking for people who want to support our community, flexibly. We can guarantee at least two hours per month between Sept and June (to care for students during our monthly parent meetings) with an expectation of at least one full-day per month to cover teachers or parent teacher work days. NVC, P.E.T. or collaborative communication experience is requested or a willingness to train with us.
