TKG Camps

Summer 2019 is open for registration! You don’t need to be enrolled at TKG to attend.

ACORNs (ages 5/6) – Facilitated by Heather Kornman, our Acorns Teacher

  • Full STEAM Ahead(Jul 15-19 & Aug 12-16) Students will engage in hands-on exploration and creation covering topics such as electricity, weather, music, toys, and more, using recycled materials and things you’d have ‘around the house.’ REGISTER FOR JULY, here. REGISTER FOR AUGUST, here.
  • Passion Projects (Jul 22-26) Students will immerse themselves in a passion project by: developing their concept for a passion project, analyzing resources, and executing their vision and presenting their work.   • Becoming An Acorn (Aug 19-23) is a chance for students to experience TKG in the Summer breeze! REGISTER HERE.

NATURE GROWERs (ages 6/7/8) – Facilitated by Leticia Barahona, our NG Teacher

  • Reading & Collaboration Skills (Jun 24-28) will help students practice reading and retention skills in a collaborative, team-building environment. REGISTER HERE.

EVERGREENs/SEQUOIAs (ages 10-13) – Facilitated by Trish Valdez, A TKG Founder & Business Administrator

  • “Around the World” Cooking Camp (Jun 24-28) Students will prepare, cook, eat, and learn together – with a focus on learning about the culture, social justice issues, and nutritional content of each meal. REGISTER HERE.

Field day with The Knowing Garden is designed to deepen students’ connection to nature. Studies show that people who engage with nature regularly are healthier, have an enhanced awareness and become lifelong stewards of the earth.
