TKG SUMMER CAMP: ACADEMIC BRIDGE

June Session: Jun 20 & 21
August Session: Aug 14-18

This skill building session is especially useful for students who are practicing specific skills during the Summer holiday. Students ages 7 and up will benefit from working with Jill – in a supportive and encouraging tutoring format – to set up schedules, strategies and resources to accomplish their Summer goals.

Camp hours are 9-12 Monday through Friday for August; Tueday through Wednesday for the June session. Lead teacher: Jill Vengerik (current TKG teacher).

TKG SUMMER CAMP: THE MOST MAGNIFICENT THING

Mon, Jun 26 through Fri, Jun 30. 9-1pm

This early development focused camp, inspired by The Most Magnificent Thing, will spark students to appreciate the magnificence in the process of creating. Students will embrace their big ideas, practice growth mindset and develop self-confidence through the lens of celebrated authors and innovators to whom 4 and 5 year olds can relate.

Hands-on learning projects, inspired by books like What Do You Do With an Idea, Spaghetti in a Hot Dog Bun and Bubble Gum Brain (to name a few) will include engineering, cooking and imaginative play where exploration, mistakes and inclusion will be celebrated.

Camp is from 9am to 1pm daily from June 26 through 30 for students ages 4-6.

Field day with The Knowing Garden is designed to deepen students’ connection to nature. Studies show that people who engage with nature regularly are healthier, have an enhanced awareness and become lifelong stewards of the earth.
This adventure is open to students ages 7 to 11 (no age restrictions for enrolled TKG students). Additional dates will be added.

TKG SUMMER CAMP: FULL STEAM AHEAD!

Monday, July 17 through Friday, July 21, 9am-12pm

Using recycled materials and ‘stuff around the house’, students will engage in hands on exploration and creation covering topics such as electricity and circuits, weather forecasting tools, musical instruments, toys, and more!

TKG SUMMER CAMP: AROUND THE WORLD IN 5 DAYS

Monday, August 7 through Friday, August 11, 9am-12pm

That’s right…we’re going to travel ’round the world in 5 days! Globe trotters will explore the world by visiting a new country from each of the seven continents each day. Students will discover new languages, flavors, art, music, landmarks, and celebrations as they embark on a journey to make connections with diversity. We’ll also meet pen/video chat pals from around the world!
